Roof Inspections in Duluth, MN

Duluth Roofing Company (DRC) was recommended to us by a local (Duluth, MN) builder who said that the company is great and has experience with slate roofs. We have a slate roof with a very steep pitch, so we really wanted to hire a company that was up to the challenge. After soliciting bids from DRC and a few of their competitors, we decided to hire DRC, because they presented themselves as very professional, knowledgeable, and gave a price-competitive quote. Our choice was rewarded with a job very well done. In reality, the job done was more than what I had originally solicited them to fix. They were able to point out additional tweaks that were required on our house and carriage house, fix those the same day, and all at a very fair price. Working on our roof requires the use of a bucket lift, because of the steep pitch. Extensive landscaping complicates using a lift, because bushes, rock mulch, and decorative fencing serve to impede direct access. Despite all the challenges, our repairs were completed within one day, on a day that was constantly misting (typical fall weather in Duluth). Thank-you DRC for your great work. You are now our go-to company for all our roofing maintenance. 2 last items: As you can see from the time stamps on some of the photos, I should have written this review 2 months ago. My apologies for allowing my busy schedule to delay my praise. Lastly, the work was performed by the owner of the company. Yes, he does have several employees, but he is still actively engaged on site to ensure a job well done. Kudos!

Duluth Roofing replaced box vents for us and, on a different occasion, repaired a section of asphalt shingles that were damaged from a tree. Their communication makes dealing with this kind of thing a little less stressful--I appreciate the combination of calls and emails. On both occasions they were reliable and professional. Their work looks excellent, we've had no issues with any of the repairs they've done, and they explain the problem and their solution very well. I'm also impressed with how well they clean up the job site. I think they treat their customers how they would want to be treated. On both occasions, we were grateful they were able to work us in in a relatively short time, considering how busy they are. The fact that they're busy is a testament to the quality of work they do.

Great communication and the new roof looks good too. They did a good job of explaining what was happening when they ran into unexpected problems. We have a flat roof on an addition to our house and it was a little tricky finding a company who would take on the job, but they did and it turned out great.

Duluth Roofing was amazing to work with. We had a terrible experience with a different company in the area and Duluth Roofing was a breath of fresh air. They were prompt on assessing the roof, they communicated with us all the time and were affordable. They didnt only do the patch we requested, they also fixed some other imperfections that we had not noticed. I will be using them in the future and insist others do the same.
